When it comes to compact crossovers, it can be hard to beat the Toyota RAV4. Toyota has traditionally been great about keeping up with new technology and offering something to tantalize with every model year.

2017 Toyota RAV4 Trim Levels
The 2017 RAV4 trim levels bring a few new features to the table this year. Last year the vehicle saw a modest mid-cycle refresh, and this year the crossover gets a range of new driver aid features at the standard level. These include important safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning systems, and frontal crash mitigation.
The various trim levels available this year include the base LE, the XLE, the SE, the Limited and the top-level Platinum trims.
LE Base Trim
At the base level, you get a range of standard equipment including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which delivers 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with front- or all-wheel drive. You also get a blind-spot mirror, privacy glass, air conditioning, cruise control, rearview camera, split-fold and recline back seat, and the Entune audio system with 6.1-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, CD player, USB and auxiliary ports, media interface and six speakers. You also get the standard safety features mentioned above.
Optional at this level is an upgrade for your Entune system giving you satellite and HD radio, weather and traffic reports, Siri Eyes Free functionality and the Scout GPS Linked navigation system. All of these features are standard at every trim level above base.
At the XLE you also get fog lights, power liftgate, heated mirrors, and automatic dual-zone climate control. In addition you get sunroof, improved front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Adding to the XLE, the sport-focused trim also gives you sport-tuned suspension, special styling for the exterior, automatic LED headlights, taillights and daytime running lights, keyless entry and ignition, power adjust and heated driver seat with lumbar support, SofTex synthetic leather upholstery, paddle shifters, driver memory settings and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts.
The Limited level trim gives you the full equipment from above, plus a higher-resolution, larger 7” touchscreen interface plus integrated GPS navigation and full smartphone app integration, features available as add-ons at the XLE and SE levels.
You can also, at the SE and Limited levels, add an 11-speaker sound system by JBL with an advanced technology package including an additional top-down 360-degree parking camera with parking sensors front and back.
The Platinum Trim gives you all of the above plus a signature body contour and badging, additional color options, LED ambient accent lighting, and the very best in luxury and convenience inside.
