The 2019 Toyota C-HR is a stylish, capable crossover with lively performance and plenty of exciting features that keep it ahead of its competition. South Florida drivers near Doral, Miami, Kendall, and Hialeah can find out more about the 2019 Toyota C-HR with our comprehensive review!
2019 C-HR Performance
The C-HR is powered by a 2.0L I-4 engine that produces 144 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque. It shuttles power to the front wheels through a sharp Continuously Variable Transmission with adjustable drive modes to fine tune the performance. Like the 2018 model, the 2019 C-HR offers sedan-like handling and steering as well as a smooth ride that easily absorbs road imperfections for maximum passenger comfort. The steering is well weighted and precise, giving you additional confidence on the road, and you’ll notice minimal body lean around corners.
Interior Comfort and Space
The Toyota C-HR is a compact vehicle, but you wouldn’t know that inside the cabin. Smart design makes use of every last inch of space in the cabin, making it feel more like a mid-size SUV than a compact crossover. Passengers in both rows enjoy supportive seating and ample head- and legroom. In the cargo bay, the C-HR offers 19 cubic feet of space behind the second row. With the seats folded down, the maximum cargo space is 36.4 cubic feet. This generous amount of space can accommodate everything from shopping bags to sporting equipment.
Safety is important for an SUV, and the C-HR gets it all right. The NHTSA and IIHS gave it high marks on all its safety tests, thanks to its robust design and attention given to outward visibility. In addition to the inherent safety, the Toyota C-HR also bundles plenty of advanced safety features on top of the existing standard safety equipment. Standard on every trim, the Toyota Safety Sense™ P suite provides a plethora of intelligent safety features, including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and more. For added security, choose one of the two higher trim levels to gain the added Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Using cameras and sensors, these features monitor the areas around your vehicle to keep you aware of obstructions, pedestrians, and other vehicles on the road, limiting your risk of collision.
The C-HR comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay™ smartphone compatibility and Bluetooth® connectivity. Scout® GPS Link, a smartphone-based navigation system, is included, though a Toyota navigation system is available as an upgrade. The infotainment system is highly intuitive and features a simple, straightforward menu that prevents you from struggling to find the functions you want. Large, clear icons and a responsive interface are some other highlights of this system that contribute to its ease of use.
