2019 Toyota Tundra If you’re looking for an outstanding full-sized pickup truck, you may want to turn to a less obvious choice. For years, the Toyota Tundra has quietly sat in the background of the sector, delivering outstanding quality and performance, while flashier pickups have taken the spotlight.

Now, with the new model year upon us, drivers in Doral, Hialeah, Kendall, and the entire Miami region are in for a surprise. The latest model of Tundra is poised to make a serious name for itself among full-size pickups. Learn about the 2019 Toyota Tundra in this detailed review, and discover where you can go to get behind the wheel for a test drive of your own.

2019 Toyota Tundra

The 2019 Tundra has rolled out this year with some important refreshes to its build and design. A new off-road-oriented TRD Pro trim has been added to the lineup, and it includes a special hood scoop plus off-road-oriented shocks and all-terrain wheels. It still comes only with a V8 engine lineup that offers superior power and performance. It also comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense™ package, offering better active safety features at lower trim levels than rivals.

2019 Toyota Tundra Specs

Toyota Tundra Interior There are five different trim levels available on the new Tundra. The base is the SR, which is followed by the SR5 and Limited midrange, the high-end Platinum, and the top-of the-line 1794 Edition, as well as the aforementioned TRD Pro. There are two V8 engines available. The lower level engine is a 4.6L which puts out 310 horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque. The upgrade engine is a 5.7L which gives you 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque.

You can also choose from two body styles: the base regular Double Cab or the extra-large CrewMax. Both are crew cabs. Finally, there are three different bed lengths: a short 5.5-foot bed, a regular 6.5-foot bed and a long 8.1-foot bed.

Trim Level Highlights

The base level nets you features like heated mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer for those cold days. A rearview camera improves vision, and you get a full infotainment system with Bluetooth®, a 6.1-inch touch screen, six speakers, a USB port, and a CD player.

Toyota Tundra Towing Capacity Stepping up from there gets you a range of features at various trim levels. These include things like satellite and HD Radio™ along with GPS navigation and traffic information for better infotainment, bucket seats, a larger gas tank, and automatic dual-zone climate control for comfort and convenience. You can also get things like premium JBL® sound with twelve speakers, heated and cooled seats for outstanding comfort, and a range of other features.

Towing Capacity

The Tundra also offers great towing capacity for a vehicle in its class. Even at the lower engine option with base level configuration, you’ll net up to 6,800 pounds of towing. When properly equipped at the highest levels, you can tow up to an impressive 10,100 pounds, which will get you wherever you need to go while hauling whatever you need.
