2018 Toyota Camry Trim Level Power & Performance
Despite having nine different trim levels, the Toyota Camry only has three engine selections. The Toyota Camry L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE all come with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that can deliver 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5L V6 engine, available with the XLE V6 trim, provides 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque to the vehicle’s abilities. Both of these engines come paired with the versatile 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Toyota Camry Hybrid LE, SE, and XLE all feature a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder hybrid engine that can deliver 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with the Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission. The LE gets powered by a sealed lithium-ion battery, while the SE and XLE trims feature the sealed nickel-metal hydride battery.
The 2018 Toyota Camry went through a bit of a redesign to make the vehicle more than just a sedan. Although the Camry features a stylish appearance, it actually changes with some of the trim levels. Most notably, the SE, XSE, and Hybrid SE. These trims feature a more performance-based look with a honeycomb grille, as opposed to the vented grille featured on the other trims. The sporty trims also feature indented panels and a longer fascia to really set the trims apart from the others.
Media & Technology Features
All of the Toyota Camry trims, excluding the XLE V6, come with the Entune™ 3.0 Audio Plus with Connected Navigation. This feature includes a 7-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, Bluetooth® streaming, and the Connected Navigation Scout® GPS Link App, along with media features like the radio, MP3 player, and USB port. The XLE V6 trim features the same amenities, but with the addition of three months of SiriusXM®, HD Radio™, an 8-inch screen, and the 9-speaker JBL® with Clari-Fi premium sound system. This package is an optional upgrade on some trims.
